Overcoming Burnout as a Creative

Overcoming burnout as a creative is one of the most important issues facing creatives in this time. Creativity is a precious resource. It is a renewable resource, but it requires proper care. Beautifully said. One of the things that jumped out at me during my devotion this morning was relishing every step of the journey. Not the journey towards a destiny, but the journey of being aware of his presence of peace every day and in everything I do, no matter what that is. It’s a huge load off and the way life was meant to be lived. His yoke is easy.

    Hi Joel,
You mentioned ‘links down below’ during your video, but where are the links please?

Thank you for this Joel. I think you asked us to comment about things we do to overcome burnout. Two things help me reset: taking a long walk in nature or outdoors (not with other people), or quietly reading a book that has nothing to do with entertainment.

This advice is timely and appreciated, especially because so much of the business preaches the exact opposite. I have not taken sabbath in a long time, and I will practice Sabbath this month!

Indeed, Ayanna. The business will push you harder and harder, but you need a Sabbath! I hope taking a Sabbath this month helps refresh your soul.
